The AskQM Frontline Enquiry Team is the first line of support for students at Queen Mary University of London. As well as supporting students online with general queries via the student enquiry management system, AskQM, we also provide an in-person and telephone service for our students.
The Frontline Enquiry Team can support you with general enquiries. If you visit us or call us, we will review your query and may raise an enquiry on AskQM on your behalf with a specialist team who are best placed to resolve your issue. You will then be able to log-in to AskQM and track the enquiry until resolution.

Exam Temporary Permits:
If you have an in-person exam during the main exam period (07 May-05 June 2026) and have forgotten your ID card on the day:
- A temporary permit will allow you entry into an exam that is recorded on your MySIS exam timetable only
- One temporary permit per exam session (07 May-05 June 2026)
- Only available to obtain on the day of your exam from any AskQM Hub
If you have lost your ID card and have multiple exams, you will need to create/login to your eShop account and purchase a replacement..
Replacement ID cards:
All AskQM Hubs issue replacement student ID cards. If you have lost your card you will need to purchase a new one via the eShop before visiting a Hub of your choice to collect it.

Please use your ID card to open the Library turnstile (electronic gate) and you will find us directly in front of you. If you are visiting us to collect a new ID card and therefore unable to get passed the turnstile, please let the Library staff know so they can authorise your access.

Please be aware that during the Enrolment periods and start of term (September, October and January), our phonelines are extremely busy and you may be waiting a long time to speak to someone. Please be aware that the AskQM Frontline Team cannot answer Admissions related enquiries. If you have any questions for the Admissions Office, including queries surrounding the following topics -

- Not being invited to Pre-Enrol

Documents provided by the address reply@ask.qmul.ac.uk are authentic and have been produced by Registry Services, Queen Mary University of London. Please be aware that verification of awards and documentation is still managed via the Hedd Portal and instructions on how to log these requests are detailed on our Hedd Portal Webpage.
The AskQM Frontline Enquiry Response Team will do their best to assist with any queries students have and will resolve these where possible. If your query does not fall within the remit of what we can assist with, we will triage and provide relevant contact information for alternative Queen Mary departments that are better placed to support you with enquiry resolution.
