Outreach Activities & Events
Each year we offer a whole host of events and activities for maths students and teachers alike.
Maths Taster Days for A-Level students
Every year we offer several Maths Taster Days for A-Level students (or equivalent) alongside other University of London institutions. These are a great opportunity to "try out" a maths degree and get a better idea of what life as a maths student might be like before applying! All events will include two taster lectures, a transitioning to university talk, and a careers talk. You must be studying A-Level Maths or about to enter A-Level Maths to be eligible to attend a taster day.

Are you interested in how AI actually works and how it can have a positive impact on our environment? Join Mathematicians at Queen Mary University of London to find out. In an interactive session you can use real data from wildlife conservation projects and explore the mathematics behind one of today's most exciting technologies.
Designed for students in Years 10–13, the session takes you through a genuine research pipeline used by scientists in the field.
Queen Mary Mathematics Society Conference
The Mathematics Society at Queen Mary hosts an annual conference for students interested in learning more about the power of Maths. The event usually takes place in March each year.
Workshops, talks and campus visits
We are able to offer a limited number of workshops and talks either in school or on our campus, for school groups of GCSE and A-Level students.
