Over the past six months, I have been learning more about this area of TELT provision and reflecting on what would have been most helpful to me during that time. Rather than highly technical detail, I found that clear, accessible information covering the basics was what mattered most. The hub has been created with this approach in mind.
The resource includes guidance on how to get support when using teaching spaces, including what to do in urgent situations, how to report faults, and where to seek advice. It also features a QMplus Book that provides an overview of the technology commonly available across teaching spaces.
The book covers key equipment such as microphones, speakers, and cameras, alongside guidance on EchoVideo (Q‑Review). It includes images, H5P content, and practical teaching space tips, and has been designed to be easy to navigate and use.
In addition, the resource links to relevant workshops, including Introduction to EchoVideo (Q‑Review) and Teaching in Large Spaces. Teaching Space Awareness sessions will be added shortly, and you can register your interest if no sessions are currently scheduled.
The offering will continue to grow over time, with new content and resources added. We will keep staff informed as updates become available. Feedback is very welcome, and a short Microsoft Form has been included so we can learn from your experience and continue to improve the resource.
Please take some time to explore and feel free to share it with colleagues. I hope you find it a useful and supportive resource.
