Profile
My PhD research is in alternative energy systems, more specifically sodium ion batteries for energy storage. I study hard carbon anodes in sodium ion batteries by systematically investigating the different synthesis parameters on the structural and electrochemical properties of the resultant batteries.
Before joining Queen Mary, I completed an MEng in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Birmingham and a MS in Applied Physics at Yale. After which I worked at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training in Kuwait, where I taught Introductory Physics to students.
Outside of research you may find me walking all throughout London, watching a play, or lambasting the cost of a train ticket. My current favourite play has been Witness for the Prosecution, and I highly recommend it!
