If you are conducting a systematic review as part of your research you can get support from the Academic Skills Centre
We can provide guidance and support on:

- Identifying the most appropriate databases

- Finding grey literature
- Using reference management tools
Maths and statistics
- Interpreting statistics and data analysis
- Statistics for meta-analyses

- Academic writing, e.g. being critical v descriptive and synthesising sources
When starting a systematic review it is advised to complete our online / blended learning module on literature searching for systematic reviews. Additional support is available through our workshops, drop-ins and one-to-one appointments.
Please note that the Academic Skills Centre is unable to help with the following:
- Doing searches for you
- Reviewing search strategies using formal guidelines such as PRESS 2015
- Training on systematic review software such as Rayyan, Covidence or RevMan
- Undertaking or advising on screening records
- Performing or advising on data extraction or quality assessment
- Proof-reading
