Profile

I am a legal historian of the twentieth century United States. My first book focused on student protests against racial discrimination and litigation surrounding the rights of children at school. I am at work on two new projects: a history of interracial families in Jim Crow era Mississippi and a history of corporal punishment in American public schools.
