I am a Lecturer in Law at the University of Essex. My research is focused on adoption law and the use of alternative forms of care. I published A Failure of Proportion: Non-Consensual Adoption in England and Wales in 2020. i am working on a number of projects concerning the protection of the grandparent/grandchild relationship and birth mothers' rights post-adoption.
