I am a children’s geographer and community development practitioner. My research interests are predominantly focused on children’s rights and participatory research in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia. I have researched and published widely on a variety of child protection, social inclusion and gender issues in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. I am a member of the Consortium for Street Children’s Research Forum, and I have consulted as a technical advisor to AusAID, UNICEF, DEFRA (UK), Save the Children, the IOM and DFAT. I am currently the Commissioning Editor (Asia Pacific) for the Routledge Journal Children's Geographies.
